Wallace C. ``Capt. Red'' Morse, 72, of the 3200 block of Page Ave., died Nov. 12, 1995.

He was born in Waltham, Mass. Capt. Red was a nickname given to him because of the many years he was employed as a private yacht captain. He served in the Coast Guard for four years during World War II.

Survivors include his devoted and faithful wife of 35 years, Edith Brockmyer Morse; two daughters and sons-in-law, April Brockmyer Rivers and Ted Rivers of Virginia Beach and Anne Brockmyer Ford and Corky Ford of Pembroke Pines, Fla.; one son and daughter-in-law, Wallace H. Morse and Kim Morse of Sugar Hill, Ga.; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be conducted Tuesday at 1 p.m. by Dr. James R.M. Young in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Neck Chapel. Burial will be at sea at a later date. May the ocean waters carry him to a place of eternal calm. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.
