Claire Love Bennett, 68, of the 1700 block of Crescent Drive, died at Guardian Care Nursing Home on Sunday, Nov. 12, 1995.
Born in Elizabeth City, she was a retired administrative secretary for the Pasquotank County public school. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, former member of the Junior Women's Club and former district president of N.C.A.E.O.P.
Mrs. Bennett was the daughter of the late Marion Culpepper and Margarette Foreman Love and wife of Charles T. Bennett II of the home. Besides her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Nancy B. Aneralla of Huntington Station, Long Island, N.Y.; two sons, Charles T. Bennett III of Greenville, S.C., and David C. Bennett of Elizabeth City; one sister, Mary Blades Love Brown of Pinehurst, N.C.; and one granddaughter, Amanda Claire Aneralla of Huntington Station, Long Island, N.Y.
A memorial service will be held at Twiford's Memorial Chapel at 4 p.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in Old Hollywood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to First United Methodist Church.
