Susie Councill Branch, 90 years old, of 209 Banks St., died Monday, Nov. 13, 1995, in her home.
Mrs. Branch was a native of Southampton County and the daughter of the late Eddie and Gertrude Councill. She was the widow of Mark Branch Sr. She was a retired employee of S.W. Rawls Jr. after 32 years of service. Mrs. Branch was a member of Hickory Grove A.M.E. Zion Church and a member of the choir and Missionary Circle.
Her survivors are one son, Mark Branch Jr. of Franklin; two daughters, Sarah C. Willingham and Deloris Seaborn of Franklin; four stepdaughters, Essie Singleton, Madelia Stith, Carrie Banks, Louise Martin of Philadelphia. She also reared one granddaughter, Mrs. Dollie Reid of Hampton; two brothers, Charlie Long and the Rev. Thomas H. Councill of Franklin; two sisters, Mrs. Willie M. Jones of Orlando, Fla., and Mrs. Ethel Wiggins of Franklin; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 17, 1995, in Hickory Grove A.M.E. Zion Church with the Rev. L.A. Burgess officiating. Burial will be in Southview Cemetery. Elvin Vaughan Funeral Home is in charge.
