John Jones Jr., 73, of the 100 block of Marcy St., died Nov. 13, 1995.
Mr. Jones, the widower of Elsie B. Jones, retired from the Naval Supply Center after 35 years of service. He was a member of Zion Baptist Church, where he was an usher. He was an Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include one son, Carroll A. Jones; two brothers, Larry Jones and Phillip Jones; one grandson, Anthony Lamonte Jones; two special friends, Albert Kelly and Ruth Moore; a very devoted friend, Ethel M. Wallace; a special niece, Joyce Warren; and several other nieces, nephews, and friends.
The funeral will be conducted at noon Thursday by the Rev. Patricia Coker-Bell in Zion Baptist Church. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Garden, Norfolk. The family will be at the residence of Mrs. Ethel M. Wallace, 4021 Sun Valley Crescent, Chesapeake. Fisher Funeral Home in charge.
