JAMES H. MILLER

James Henry Miller, 76, of 2247 Hanson Ave., died Monday, Nov. 13, 1995, in Heritage Hall Nursing Care.

He was born in Duplin County, N.C. He served a brief time in the Army and was discharged with honor. He continued to work in a civilian capacity and retired in 1970 to become self-employed. He continued to work diligently until God rested him off his feet earlier this year.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy L. Miller; four sisters, Maggie Best and Sarah Williams of Warsaw, N.C., Lucy Garner of Baltimore, and Ellen Miller of Mt. Olive, N.C.; one brother, Curtis Lee Miller of Baltimore; four daughters, Brenda Johnson, Patricia Davis, and Valerie Thomas of Norfolk, and Linda Miller of Cleveland, Ohio; one son, Larry D. Miller of Norfolk; three granddaughters; two grandsons; one great-grandson; one daughter-in-law; and one brother-in-law.

The funeral will be at noon Saturday in Bethany Baptist Church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Graves Funeral Home is handling arrangements. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
