ROBERT W. WRIGHT SR.

Robert Wesley Wright Sr., 73, of the 9600 block of Chesapeake Blvd., died Nov. 14, 1995, in a Norfolk hospital.

He was retired from the Public Works Dept. of the Norfolk Naval Base where he worked for 40 years. He was a native of Glen Lyon, Pa., and was the widower of Lola Wright. He was a Catholic. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of World War II and was a lifetime member of V.F.W. Post (NU)3160. He was also a lifetime member of D.A.V. Chapter 4.

He is survived by two daughters, Catherine Foster of Magnolia, Ark., and Teresa Allen of McKinney, Texas; two sons, the Rev. William Wright of Meridian, Miss., and Alfred D. Wright of Norfolk; two sisters, Dorothy Snethkamp of Port Charlotte, Fla., and Alfreda Bryce of Wilkes-Barre, Pa. He was preceded in death by a son, Robert Wright Jr.

A funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday by Chaplain Father Pat Doody in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. A Wake service will be held at the funeral home Thursday at 7 p.m. where the family will remain to receive friends until 8 p.m. Memorial donations my be made to the American Cancer Society.
