To recognize the importance and raise the awareness of issues surrounding HIV and AIDS, Norfolk is sponsoring a ceremony at 3 p.m. Thursday at the front entrance of City Hall on Union Street.
A tree will be decorated by more than 200 children, with ornaments containing the names of people infected with HIV.
The ceremony will include a jump-rope demonstration, a poem recital and remarks by Dr. Valerie Stallings, director of the Norfolk Department of Public Health. by CNB
