POLICE SEEK TO IDENTIFY WOMAN WITH MEMORY LOSS

Police are seeking the identity of a woman who has suffered memory loss after suffering a head injury.

The woman arrived at Virginia Beach General Hospital in a cab about 1:50 a.m. Tuesday.

She was treated for an injury to the back of her head. During treatment and a subsequent interview with police, it became clear that she had suffered memory loss and had no idea who she is or where she resides.

Investigators were able to learn that she had been seen within the last three days driving a red, late-model Pontiac Trans Am with South Carolina plates. The vehicle is missing.

The woman has been taken to an undisclosed location until authorities are able to learn her identity.

She is described as white, in her late 20s to early 30s, 5 feet 1 inch tall and 96 pounds with long brown hair and brown eyes. She was wearing black jeans, a black jacket and a white blouse.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 427-4101 or Crime Solvers at 427-0000. ILLUSTRATION: The woman arrived at Virginia Beach General Hospital in a cab
