NANCY L. HASKETT

Nancy Langhorne Haskett, 77, of the 300 block of Brambleton Ave., a retired senior vice president for The First Virginia Bank of Tidewater, died Nov. 15 in a local hospital.

Mrs. Haskett was a native of Portsmouth. She was a graduate of The American Institute of Banking and retired from The First Virginia Bank in 1979, after 43 years as senior vice president and cashier. She was the widow of James Warren Haskett. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Norfolk.

Mrs. Haskett's memberships included The United Daughters of the Confederacy; Real Granddaughters Club, Virginia Division, United Daughters of the Confederacy; National Society of the Daughters of Founders and Patriots of America; life member of the Jamestown Society; the National Society of Colonial Dames 17th Century; National Society of Daughters of the American Colonists; Daughter of the American Revolution; National Society of Sons and Daughters of the Pilgrims; United States Daughters of 1812; Colonial Dames of America; and was past president for the National Association of Bank Women.

Survivors include her daughter, Nancy Haskett Brown of Virginia Beach; a son, James Warren Haskett of Norfolk; four grandchildren, J.J. Brown, Heather F. Brown, Christopher J. Brown, Leslie A. Schrembs; and two great-grandchildren, Justin S. Schrembs and Austin Schrembs.

A Mass of Christian burial will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday in Sacred Heart Catholic Church by The Rev. John J. Dorgan. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Sacred Heart Catholic Church. There will be a Christian Wake service Friday at 7 p.m. in the Norfolk Chapel of H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments.
