Mildred Cerny Rice, 53, of the 5200 block of Janet Drive, died Nov. 15, 1995, in Sentara Nursing Center.
She worked for the division of parking for the City of Norfolk. She also worked with Brink Inc. Mrs. Rice was born in Petersburg, Va., on Oct. 21, 1942. She was a member of Coleman Place Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by her husband, Robert T. Rice Sr.; daughter, Amy Rice Williams of Mechanicsville, Va.; son, Robbie T. Rice of Richmond; parents, Rudolf and Augusta Cerny of Norfolk; sister, Jane Kauchak of Norfolk; brother, Rudy Cerny of Virginia Beach; and grandson, Christopher Scott Williams of Mechanicsville.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday by the Rev. Larry Miles in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to Coleman Place Presbyterian Church. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
