Having watched news broadcasts for many years with interest and pleasure, I must protest the spate of recent outdoor ``on the roof'' weather broadcasts.
The ``on the roof'' broadcasts serve no useful purpose; indeed - they only distract one's attention from the serious business of the weather forecast.
I sincerely hope the head honchos at the studios will relent and return these gentlemen to the studio so that we and they may enjoy a dignified presentation of the weather reports and forecasts.
