Malofia Amelia Lamb Parker, 81, of the 1011 block of Hill Street , died Nov. 15, 1995, in Chesapeake General Hospital, after a long illness.
Mrs. Parker, the widow of Arthur Earl Parker Sr., was retired from the food service department of the Chesapeake School System. She was a native of Norfolk County and a member of Saint Lukes AME, Chesapeake. She was a member of the usher board, Beautification Club and choir at New Mount Olive A.M.E. Church of Chesapeake. She was a faithful member of Silver Strands Senior group and Elizabeth Fragrant Rose (NU)34, and Order of Eastern Star Pha. She attended public school and was a graduate of Booker T. Washington and School of Nursing. She served for several years as a licensed practical nurse at Norfolk General.
Survivors include two daughters, Doris P. Wilson, Glenidese S. Ramos, both of Chesapeake; two sons, Rev. A. Earl Parker Jr. of Richmond and Larry A. Parker of Chesapeake; one sister, Dolister Clemons of Chesapeake; three brothers, Reochus Lamb and Cornelius Lamb, both of Chesapeake, Norris Lamb of Hampton; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends; one son-in-law, Garland T. Wilson Sr.; and one daughter-in-law, Jeannette Parker.
The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday in St. Lukes AME Church by the Rev. Ira McMillian. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Family will receive friends at 1011 Hill St., Chesapeake, and will assemble there at noon for the procession to the church. E.A. Hughes Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
