WILLIAM T. DEEKS

William T. Deeks, 88, formerly of Wayne, Pa., died Nov. 16, 1995.

Mr. Deeks, the widower of Geraldine P. Deeks, was retired from Aetna Insurance Company and was an independent broker after retirement. He was a native of Whitinsville, Mass., and a member of Lynnhaven United Methodist Church. He was former president of Philadelphia CPCU and of the local civic league in Pennisylvania. He was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Navy and the longest surviving crew member of the USS Brunswick a World War II destroyer.

Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Nancy D. Kennedy and John C. Kennedy of Virginia Beach; one son and daughter-in-law, W. Thomas Deeks Jr. and Jane W. Deeks of Rochester, N.Y.; one brother, John K. Deeks of Hartford, Conn.; and four grandchildren, Anne, Christine, and Bill Kennedy and Julie Deeks.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Lynnhaven Chapel. Burial will be in Valley Forge Memorial Gardens, King of Prussia, Pa. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Lynnhaven United Methodist Church Building Fund.
