Floyd P. Burdette, 95, of the 400 block of Lavander Lane, died Nov. 16, 1995, in a Virginia Beach nursing home.
Mr. Burdette, a retired mechanic, worked for Loom Repair, Wilmington, N.C. He was the widower of Mary Andrews Burdette and a Protestant. He was a native of Anderson, S.C.
Survivors include one son, Claude Burdette and his wife Mae, of Virginia Beach; one sister, Lois Hall of Anderson S.C.; two brothers, Ernest Burdette of Troutman, N.C., Clyde Burdette of Snead Ferry, N.C.; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by two sons, Jack and Billy Burdette.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in Kellum Funeral Home, Bonney Road Chapel, by the Rev. Warren Wilson. Burial will be in Rosewood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:30 to 8 p.m. today.
