CRIME REPORT - CHESAPEAKE

Armed robbery, Lakeview Drive at Lakeview Court. While walking, a man armed with a sawed off shotgun came up behind the victims and demanded their jewelry. Then a second suspect, armed with a blue steel automatic handgun, appeared. Description of suspects: No. 1 black male, 5 feet 8 inches, 170 pounds, wore a black ski mask, dark jeans and black shoes. No. 2, 5 feet 8 inches, 165 pounds, wore a black ski mask, camouflage jacket and brown pants. Oct. 25.

Residential burglary, 900 block of Guenevere Court. Missing: Belgian/Browning 12 gauge shotgun, Smith & Wesson .357 handgun, .39 caliber handgun, weed trimmer, hedge trimmer and a 20-inch man's necklace. Oct. 24.

Residential burglary, 2100 block of Broadmoor Ave. Missing: bicycle. Oct. 19.

Commercial burglary, 800 block of Butler St., U-Haul Storage. Missing: antique girls' bicycle. Between Oct. 26 and 28.

Residential burglary, 3300 block of Guenevere Drive. Missing: two Weedeater garden tools and two girls' bicycles. Between Oct. 28 and 30.

Attempted strong-arm robbery, 1400 block of N. George Washington Highway. The suspect entered the store and said, ``This is a holdup. Get on the floor. I'm not playing.'' Description of suspect: black male mid-teens. Oct. 31.

Strong-arm robbery, Seaboard Avenue. One suspect asked the victim for money then struck him in the face and knocked him down. The second suspect stepped on his back. They took his money and a compact disc player. Both suspects were black. Oct. 28.

Residential burglary, 1300 block of Chesapeake Ave. Missing: prescription drugs. Oct. 30.

Strong-arm robbery, Seaboard and Jefferson streets. Two suspects knocked the victim down and took his bag of trick-or-treat candy, then assaulted him. Oct. 31.

Residential burglary, 1100 block of Ferebee Ave. Missing: videocassette recorder and jewelry. Between Oct. 29 and 31.

Residential burglary, 1000 block of Annette Drive. Nothing reported missing. Oct. 31.

Residential burglary, first block of Keswick Circle. The victim was asleep on the sofa. The suspect was still in the house when the victim's young son walked into the room. Nothing reported missing. Oct. 26.

Residential burglary, 1500 block of Willow Ave. Missing: videocassette recorder, Professional computer and a Citizen printer. Oct. 26.

Armed robbery, 5100 block of W. Military Highway. The victim was in a convenience store parking lot when an armed man got out of a vehicle and demanded money. Description of suspect: late teens, 5 feet 10 inches, 140 pounds, wore baggy blue jeans, a black sweatshirt and a black hat. Three other black males remained in the vehicle. Oct. 28.

Armed robbery, 3500 block of Forest Haven Lane, Kappatal Cuts. The suspect, who was armed with a sawed off shotgun, kicked the front door open, then demanded money. He snatched a gold necklace and a Motorola pager from an employee. Description of suspect: black male, 20s, 5 feet 11 inches, 160 pounds, wore a yellow T-shirt, black pants, camouflage knit cap/mask and gloves. Employees said the same suspect had robbed them the previous week. Oct. 28.

Residential burglary, 3500 block of Berkshire Drive. Missing: gold jewelry. Oct. 27 or 28.

WESTERN BRANCH BOROUGH

(Suburban area west of Portsmouth)

Residential burglary, 4100 block of Jennifer Crescent. Missing: videocassette recorder.

Commercial burglary, 4800 block of Station House Road, Sentry Storage. Missing: two Craftsman tool boxes, set of weights, .9mm pistol, stereo, mountain bike, road bike, flight uniforms, tent, sleeping bag, two coolers, and 25.

Grand larceny, 4700 block of Helensburgh Drive. Missing: Jeep overhead cover. Oct. 25.

Armed robbery, 4300 block of Bruce Road. The victim was riding his bike when he was jumped from behind, knocked to the ground and struck on the face and shoulders, then his money was taken. Oct. 24.

Grand larceny, 4300 block of Bruce Road. Missing: cash and two gold earrings. Oct. 26.

Residential burglary, 4300 block of Woodland Drive. Missing: New England Arms 12 gauge shotgun, a Sears Roebuck shotgun and a .22 caliber rifle. Oct. 27.

Residential burglary, 3500 block of Maori Drive. Nothing reported missing. Oct. 27 or 28.

Strong-arm robbery, 3100 block of Western Branch Blvd. As a woman was leaving the store, a black male snatched her purse and threw her to the ground. The suspect was wearing a black hat and pants and a dark colored shirt.

Attempted strong-arm robbery, 3400 block of Maori Drive. The victim was trick-or-treating when a group of black males approached. He was struck on the head with a pipe. His candy was taken. Oct. 31. by CNB
