Rex Forrest Knott Sr., 83, of the 3000 block of Capital Hill Lane, died Nov. 17, 1995, in Norfolk.
He was a retired aerospace engineer technician for George C. Marshall Space Flight Center where he worked for 27 years. He was a native of Knightdale, N.C., and a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church, Knightdale.
He is survived by his wife, Hattie C. ``Sammie'' Knott; daughter, Kaye Knott-Davis of Virginia Beach; son, Rex Forrest Knott Jr. and wife, Kathy of Virginia Beach; sister, Bessie Knott Watson of Knightdale; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be conducted at 8 p.m. Sunday by the Rev. Kenny Bryant in Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel. Burial will be private. The family will be at the funeral home for visitation 7 to 8 p.m. Sunday, and following the service until 9 p.m.
