HARVEY T. WALSH JR.

Retired U.S. Navy Cmdr. Harvey Thomas ``Tim'' Walsh Jr., 64, of the 2200 block of Leeward Court, died Nov. 16, 1995, in his home.

Mr. Walsh was a native of San Francisco, Calif. He was a member of All Saints Episcopal Church in Virginia Beach. Mr. Walsh graduated from the United States Naval Academy in 1954 and retired from the Navy in November of 1978. Mr. Walsh was a member of the Hampton One Design Class Racing Association and a member of the Retired Officers Association and also a member of the United States Naval Academy Alumni Association. He was preceded in death by his son, Michael Putnam Walsh.

Survivors include his wife, Edwina D. Walsh; a daughter, Amy Walsh Sanderson and her husband, William Scott Sanderson of Gastonia, N.C.; a son, Harvey Thomas Walsh III and his wife, Cathleen O'Gara Walsh of Virginia Beach; a brother, Richard Sheridan Walsh of Springfield, Va.; and four grandchildren, Erin C. Walsh and Sean T. Walsh, both of Virginia Beach, and Claire E. Sanderson and William H. Sanderson, both of Gastonia, N.C.

A funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday in All Saints Episcopal Church in Virginia Beach by Dr. Stanley Sawyer. Burial will be at Eastern Shore Chapel Cemetery in Virginia Beach. The family will receive friends in H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Laskin Road Chapel, from 4 to 5 p.m. today. Memorial donations may be made to the All Saints Episcopal Church Building Fund, 1968 Woodside Lane, Virginia Beach, Va. 23454.
