It is time for John Warner to go. He is a mediocre senator and a bad Republican. He has actively campaigned against Republicans in the party and now has successfully split the party. He has damaged the party to the point that we can't even win one of the houses in Richmond.
We have a Democratic lieutenant governor who will cast the deciding vote in the Senate against our Republican governor. It should have been Mike Farris, whom Warner opposed for lieutenant governor and who would have supported our governor.
If Republicans are to ever gain control of the House of Delegates and the Senate, we must first get rid of that party-buster, John Warner. John Warner is just too small for our large and growing party.
