On Nov. 7, the citizens of the 7th Senatorial District in Virginia Beach elected Ed Schrock to represent them in the Senate of Virginia. I want to congratulate Senator-elect Schrock on his election and I look forward to working with him in the Senate of Virginia.
It seems tome that all too often we think of people who serve our community as just politicians and never look past their last election to their actual contributions to our community. Therefore, I want to take this opportunity to publicly thank Sen. Clancy Holland for his service to our community as a member of City Council, as mayor of Virginia Beach and as our senator from the 7th Senatorial District for the past 12 years.

Health Clinic client grateful
I found myself in need of free medical services. As a result of phone calls to various city agencies I was connected with the Beach Health Clinic at 302 22nd Street.
Although I am indigent they accepted me and treated me as a person with dignity.
I write this letter so that the many people involved at the Beach Health Clinic and the medical professionals to which they refer needy people can be publicly recognized. For the services provided me by the Beach Health Clinic, the Virginia Beach General Hospital and Dr. Peter Birk, I owe not only a debt of gratitude but a pledge of my time and talent at no cost to any of them.
