ALBERT E. COBB

Albert E. Cobb, 87, a lifelong resident of Southampton County, died Friday, Nov. 17, 1995, at East Pavilion, Franklin.

He was a retired farmer and a member of Hebron Baptist Church and the Little Texas Hunt Club. He was the son of the late Charles Everett and Annie Jane Ellis Cobb.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Virgie Grizzard Cobb; two sons, Paul A. Cobb and his wife, Shelva Lee Cobb, and Ellis P. Cobb and his wife, Eva Williams Cobb, all of Drewryville; daughter, Martha Cobb Hedgepeth and her husband, J. Emory Hedgepeth of Rocky Mount, N.C.; three sisters, Anna Cobb Drewry of Franklin, Minnie Cobb Mattox of Drewryville and Marie Cobb Browder of Lawrenceville; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be conducted at Hebron Baptist Church, Drewryville, today at 3 p.m. by the Rev. Edmond E. Ellis. Burial will be at 4 p.m. in Drewryville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hebron Baptist Church, c/o Mrs. David Turner, P.O. Box 117, Drewryville, Va. 23844. Purviance Funeral Home, Boykins Chapel, is handling the arrangements.
