R. Mitchell Eiland, 21, died Nov. 16, 1995.
He was a self-employed graphic artist. Mr. Eiland was a native of Troy, Ala. He had participated in both national and international skateboard competitions.
He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Carol and Jerry Easter of Suffolk; father, Roy M. Eiland of Virginia Beach; maternal grandparents, R.O. and Anne Mitchell of Opp, Ala.; paternal grandmother, Naomi Eiland of Montgomery, Ala.
A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Indian River Chapel, by the Rev. Dale Puckett. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends after the service. Memorial donations may be made to the American Red Cross.
