George A. Truxillo, 73, of the 300 block of General Gage Road, died Nov. 18, 1995, in his residence.
He was a retired administrative assistant for the Naval Air Rework Facility, where he worked for 34 years. Mr. Truxillo was a native of Florida. He was a member of St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church. He was also a member of Toastmasters International, Knights of Columbus and was a U.S. naval veteran of World War II.
He is survived by his wife, Patty W. Truxillo; daughter, Julia T. Groton of Virginia Beach; two sons, David J. Truxillo of Virginia Beach and George R. Truxillo of Wilmington; sister, Odette T. Cervilla of Bradenton, Fla.; and two grandchildren, Richard Ryan Truxillo and Amber Nicole Groton.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday in St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church. Burial will be in Rosewood Memorial Park. A Christian wake service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Monday at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Mary's Infant Home.
