LUCILLE S. JACKSON

Lucille Sawyer Jackson of the 3700 block of Sentara Way, died Friday, Nov. 17, 1995, in the Alzheimer's Unit of Sentara Nursing Home.

Mrs. Jackson was born in the Berkley section of Norfolk and was the widow of James E. Jackson. She was a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church, where she was a former deaconess and member of the Women's Circle and Hospitality Committee.

Survivors include an uncle, Harold Sawyer of Norfolk; a nephew, John Oscar Sawyer Jr.; two nieces, Ericia and Sicily Sawyer of Cintia, Ohio; and two very devoted friends, Katherine ``Tiny'' Carter and Lena Pugh, both of Chesapeake.

A funeral will be conducted at noon Tuesday in Covenant Presbyterian Church, Norfolk, by Dr. Octavius Gaba. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. Viewing will be from noon to 8 p.m. today at Chatman Funeral Home, Norfolk. The body will be placed in church at 10:45 a.m. Tuesday. The processional will leave from the funeral home.
