LULA M. GUTHRIE

Lula Mae Guthrie, 82, a loving Christian lady, went into the presence of the Lord Nov. 19, 1995. She died in a Norfolk hospital.

Mrs. Guthrie, the widow of Kerney Guthrie, was a native of Marshallberg, N.C. She was a member of Marshallberg United Methodist Church and attended Bethany Freewill Baptist Church in Norfolk.

Survivors include one daughter, Karen Sue Sittig of Norfolk; one sister, Elna Gray Woodcock of Colorado Springs, Colo.; two brothers, Colon Hayes Wilson of Havelock, N.C., Stephen Monroe Wilson of Marshallberg; two granddaughters, Dawn Marie Sittig and Amanda Ruth Sittig, both of Norfolk.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday by the Rev. Larry Davis in Bethany Freewill Baptist Church. Her final resting place will be in Rosewood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, from 7 to 9 p.m. today.
