The Holiday Symphony of Lights drew children of all ages to the Pembroke area last Thursday night. As the decorative lights flickered on, guess who arrived? Right, Santa himself, and the children helped him along, pushing and pulling his sleigh.
Frosty the Snowman was on hand, too, in two places. He brightened the top of Pembroke Mall and then did the same for the youngsters when he made an appearance at ground level.
The event was sponsored by the Central Business District on the grounds of Commerce Bank in front of Sears.
The festivities left little doubt that Christmas is almost here. ILLUSTRATION: Staff photos by Steve Earley
Youngsters push and pull Santa's sleigh to Pembroke Mall at the
Holiday Symphony of Lights event.
Frosty the Snowman dances with the children in the crowd. It was
hard to tell who was having the most fun.
Frosty also decked the roof of the mall in holiday lights.
