The series on Holly and Bobby, the Navy couple, is interesting, but I think it should be made clear what what they are experiencing is typical only for them. I experienced four deployments as a Navy wife, and although I missed my husband and he missed me and our children, we all adjusted to the separation.
Holly and Bobby apparently did not take advantage of any of the support groups and counseling services available to them, both at home and onboard ship. I am sorry that they suffered so badly during the deployment, but it does not seem as though they did everything they could to help themselves.
