Bertha F. Blevins Hill, 83, of the 200 block of Bedford Court, died Nov. 18, 1995, in California.
She was a native of Mercer County, W.Va., and the widow of George W. Hill. She was retired from Giant Open-Air Market and was a member of Central Baptist Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Margaret H. Lathlean of Anaheim, Calif.; one son, Bobby E. Hill of Summerville, S.C.; eight sisters, Hassie Gentle of Duhring, W.Va., Lillie Sturms of Montcalm, W.Va., Ethel Dalton of Tallahassee, Fla., Janice Trantham of Orlando, Fla., Lorene Butler of Palatka, Fla., Hilda Redmond of Newport News, Lois Jacobs of Jacksonville, Fla., Olla Johnson of Tazewell, Va.; one brother, Oscar Blevins of Mt. Hope, W.Va.; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens by Dr. Mel Kunkle. The family will be at Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, from 7 to 8 p.m. today.
