SUFFOLK'S MELINDA BOONE BEGINS CENTRAL OFFICE POSITION ON DEC. 11

The School Board appointed Melinda J. Boone as coordinator of pupil personnel and testing at its meeting last week.

Boone, director of special education/pupil services in the Franklin district, will begin her new job on Dec. 11.

She primarily will be responsible for cleaning up and tracking student achievement data; and handling disciplinary matters.

In August, her predecessor, Milton R. Liverman, was named assistant superintendent for instruction and curriculum - the position Superintendent Joyce H. Trump previously held.

Boone was a speech-language pathologist in the Suffolk district from 1984 to 1989, when she took an administrative job in Franklin.

She still lives in Suffolk, where she grew up.
