James Hillary ``J.J.'' Johnson, 50, of the 1000 block of Johnston Road, died Nov. 18, 1995, in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.
Mr. Johnson, a retired locomotive engineer, worked for Conrail Corporation for six years. He was a native of Norfolk and attended Concord Baptist Church, Perthamboy, N.J.
Survivors include one son, James L. Burch of Perthamboy; his parents, Mildred and Samuel Johnson of Norfolk; two brothers, Samuel Johnson Jr. of Norfolk and Solomon A. Johnson of Doswell, Va.; one grandchild, Jovontay Burch of Perthamboy; and a host of friends and relatives.
The funeral will be conducted at noon Saturday in Olive Grove Baptist Church, Norfolk, by Dr. Harry Davis. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends and relatives at the residence and will assemble there at 11:15 a.m. Saturday for the procession to the church. The visitation will be Friday at E.A. Hughes Funeral Home from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
