Mildred Flythe Whitehurst, 88, of Greenbriar Road, died Nov. 21, 1995, in a Portsmouth hospital.
She was a native of Portsmouth and was the widow of James Willard Whitehurst. She was a member of Broad Street United Methodist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Edith Rea of Portsmouth and Jean Meyer of Arizona City, Ariz.; one brother, Norman Flythe of Raleigh, N.C.; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
The graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in Forest Lawn Cemetery by the Rev. Kathryn L. Pigg. Snellings Funeral Home, Churchland Chapel, in charge.
