VIRGINIA D. EBERT

Virginia Dodd Ebert, 71, of the 200 block of South Newtown Road, died Nov. 21, 1995, in a Norfolk hospital.

She was a native of Halifax, Va., and was the widow of Geroge Lee Ebert Sr. She was a member of Ocean View Baptist Church and the Vannie Stubbs Sunday school class. She retired from the Naval Exchange and had also worked as a bookkeeper for various firms in the area.

Survivors include three sons, George Lee Ebert Jr. of Virginia Beach, Michael William Ebert of Norfolk and Allen Neal Ebert of Virginia Beach; two sisters, Evelyn Owen of Richmond and Louise Pollard of Wytheville, Va.; and one granddaughter, Lindsey. She was predeceased by her brother, Thomas Dodd.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in Ocean View Baptist Church by Dr. David Clay. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, Friday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the church.
