ANDREW D. BOONE

Andrew D. ``Big Boone'' Boone Sr., 75, of the 2200 block of A Shipyard Road, died Nov. 20, 1995, in Maryview Hospital, Portsmouth.

Mr. Boone, the widower of Rachel G. Boone, was a native of Nansemond County, Va. Mr. Boone, a retired longshoreman, worked for Local (NU)1248 International Longshoreman Association for 38 years. He was a member of Greater Deep Creek Lodge (NU)1033 and Order of Elks.

Survivors include six daughters, Yvonne Boone, Angla Battle and Bertha Boone, all of Portsmouth, Ella Ricks and Idella Horton, both of Norfolk, Lois Waters of New Jersey; four sons, Joseph Boone, Olando Boone, both of Norfolk, Barry Boone of Portsmouth, Bruce Boone of Chesapeake; one sister, Minnie Walker of Suffolk; one brother, James Boone of Norfolk; 47 grandchildren; 53 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; sister-in-law, Bertha Morris of Portsmouth; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and friends. He was predeceased by a son, Andrew D. Boone Jr.

The funeral will be conducted at noon Monday in Corprew Funeral Home Chapel, Portsmouth, by the Rev. Robert Forbes. The body will be cremated after the funeral service. Viewing at Corprew Funeral Home will begin at 6 p.m. Saturday.
