David Edward Hylton Sr., 67, of the 3700 block of Franklin St., died Nov. 24, 1995, in a Norfolk hospital.
Mr. Hylton, a retired electrician, worked for NOAA. He was a native of Egeria, W.Va., and a member of Chesapeake First Pentecostal Holiness Church. Mr. Hylton was a U.S. Navy veteran who served in World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Wilma Young Hylton; three sons, Kenneth W. Young of Chesapeake, David E. Hylton Jr. of Portsmouth, and Wayne K. Hylton of Suffolk; two sisters, Naomi Meadows of Odd, W.Va., and Tiny Marie Hill of Akron, Ohio; two brothers, Rufus O. Hylton of Ocala, Fla., and Wesley Hylton of Palm Beach, Fla.; and two grandchildren, Kenneth W. Young II and Jason E. Young, both of Chesapeake.
The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday in Graham Funeral Home, South Norfolk Chapel, by the Rev. Wayne Sawyer. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Norfolk. The family will receive friends from 4 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home and at the residence at all other times.
