E. Ray Cahoon Sr., 78, of the 1200 block of Rodgers St., died Nov. 24, 1995.
Mr. Cahoon, a retired planner and estimator, worked for the Naval Supply Center for 20 years. He retired in 1980. He was a native of South Norfolk, and a member of Chesapeake Avenue United Methodist Church, Chesapeake. He was a member of Howell Bible Class and the South Norfolk Masonic Lodge (NU)339, Chesapeake. Mr. Cahoon was a Navy veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia B. Cahoon; two sons, Edward R. Cahoon Jr. of Norfolk, Roger H. Cahoon and daughter-in-law, Margaret Cahoon, of Suffolk; and one sister, Elsie Riggs of Virginia Beach.
A graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday in Riverside Memorial Park by the Rev. John Andrews. The family will be at Francis A. Gay Funeral Home, South Norfolk Chapel, from 7 to 8 p.m. Sunday. Memorial donations may be made to Chesapeake Avenue United Methodist Church Memorial Fund.
