Gracie B. Turner
FRANKLIN - Gracie L. ``Gay'' Bailey Turner, 64, of the 200 block of Magnolia St., died Nov. 22, 1995, in Norfolk Sentara Hospital.
She was a native of Southampton County and the widow of Linwood S. Turner. Mrs. Turner was a member of Old Cool Spring Baptist Church, 428 Amber St., Franklin, where she was a choir member.
She is survived by her husband, Linwood S. Turner; seven daughters, Linda Brown of Wakefield, Va., Willie Mae Wilson of Woodbridge, Va., Gracie Warren of Arlington, Carolyn Turner of Woodbridge, Louise Faulk of Ivor, Lenise Turner of Woodbridge and Patricia Turner of Franklin; three sons, Christopher Turner of Wakefield, John Willis Turner of Wakefield and Linwood Turner Jr. of Alexandria; two grandsons-in-law; three sisters, Shirley Taylor of Suffolk, and Beatrice Brown and Rena Turner, both of Franklin; son-in-laws, Richard Brown of Wakefield, George Wilson of Woodbridge, Roy Warren of Arlington and Raymond Faulk of Ivor; 23 grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; five brothers-in-law; and three sisters-in-law. She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie and James Bailey.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday by the Rev. Anthony Goodwyn in Old Cool Spring Baptist Church. Burial will be in Southview Cemetery. There will be a viewing at Wm. Johnson Funeral Home, Franklin. P.G. Thomasson Funeral Home is in charge.
