Anita G. Fluharty, 79, died Nov. 23, 1995, in Norfolk.
Mrs. Fluharty, the widow of Wayne Fluharty, resided in Newell, W.Va., for 40 years on Washington Street. She was retired from Homer Laughlin China Co., Newell. Mrs. Fluharty, a native of West Virginia, was a member of Congo Church of the Nazarene, Newell. She attended St. Pauls United Methodist Church and was a member of the Betty Fairbanks Circle and Rebecca Lodge O.E.S.
Survivors include two sons, Russell J. Thorne of Virginia Beach, and Bobby B. Thorne of Duluth, Ga.; three sisters, Mary Milligan of Haywood, W.Va., Rose Stonebreaker of Lumberport, W.Va., and Kathleen Ehler of Winter Park, Fla.; one brother, John McGinnis of Sistersville, W.Va.; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday in Congo Church of the Nazarene. Burial will be in Shadowlawn Memorial Gardens, Newell. The body will be sent from the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Indian River Chapel, to Arner Funeral Home, Chester, W.Va., for services and burial.
