Zeola Ruth Johnson Smith, 73, of the 200 block of River Road, died Nov. 25, 1995, in Chowan Hospital.
She was a native of Bertie County and a daughter of the late Thomas Gilbert and Elnora Williford Johnson. She was the wife of the late Murray Smith. Mrs. Smith was a homemaker and a member of the Rocky Hock Baptist Church.
She is survived by one brother, Thomas Gilbert Johnson of Edenton.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Evans Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in Edgewood Cemetery, Windsor. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Edenton-Chowan Rescue Squad, Unit 3.
