MILDRED E. BURRUS

Mildred Evelyn Burrus, of the 2400 block of Hemlock St., died Nov. 22, 1995, in a local hospital.

She was retired after working for 20 years and was a native of Norfolk. She was a member of Mt. Herman Baptist Church, Norfolk.

She is survived by her husband, Booker T. Burrus; four daughters, Barbara Burrus, Phyllis Burrus, Vanessa Burrus Neville, Tonya Burrus Ayers, all of Norfolk; son, Booker T. Burrus Jr. of Norfolk; three sisters, Geraldine Owens of Chesapeake, Evelyn Brown and Verneice Ross of Virginia Beach; brother, Harrison Parker of Oakland, Calif.; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two aunts, Viola Walker and Mary Dixon, both of Norfolk.

A funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday by the Rev. Steve Lewis in Mt. Herman Baptist Church. Burial is in Roosevelt Memorial Park. The family will assemble at the residence the day of the service. There will be a Wake service Monday from 6 to 7 p.m. Graves Funeral Home is in charge.
