NATHANIEL P. HENDERSON SR.

Nathaniel Potter Henderson Sr., 90, husband of Bertie Price Henderson, and a resident of Bridgetown, died at home on Saturday, Nov. 25, 1995.

Born and reared in Northampton County, he was the son of the late Upshur Kerr Henderson Sr. and Elizabeth Roberts Henderson. A retired pharmacist and orchardist, he was a graduate of Franktown-Nassawadox High School and attended the College of William and Mary. He graduated from the School of Pharmacy, University of Maryland, in 1933. He owned and operated Henderson's Pharmacy in Parksley and in Nassawadox. He was a lifelong member of Johnsons United Methodist Church and he was also a Paul Harris Fellow in the Exmore Rotary Club.

Besides his wife, he is survived by a son, N. Potter Henderson Jr.; daughter-in-law, Susan C. Henderson; daughter, Hannah H. Roberts; son-in-law, William T. Roberts III; brother, Dr. E.M. Henderson; sister, Mrs. Nan M. Fuller; six grandchildren, Peter N. Henderson, Michael P. Henderson, Leah P. Roberts, Cary J. Roberts, Anna H. Roberts, and Melanie T. Roberts; four nephews and four nieces.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Northampton Fire and Rescue Service, P.O. Box 833, Nassawadox, Va. 23413, or to Johnsons United Methodist Church in care of E. S. Acworth, P.O. Box 412, Eastville, Va. 23347. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. today in Johnsons United Methodist Church, Johnsontown, Va. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
