MARGARET G. READER

Margaret Gulledge Reader, 88, died Nov. 26, 1995, in Virginia Beach.

Mrs. Reader, a native of Jefferson, S.C., was the widow of Felix Richardson Reader. She was a member of London Bridge Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school and sang with the Echos Junior Choir for many years. She retired from Mutual Fire Insurance Association, where she held the position of secretary and treasurer for more than 20 years.

Survivors include two sons, C. Richard Reader and his wife Patricia and Felix A. Reader and his wife Frances, all of Virginia Beach; three sisters, Josephine G. Chandler of Mathews, N.C., Susan G. Eason of Monroe, N.C., Dora V. Rodgerson of Norfolk; a brother, Jerry C. Gulledge of Monroe, N.C.; five grandchildren, Bettie R. Maute of Memphis, Tenn., Douglas P. Reader, Stephen P. Reader, Patricia A. Reader and Beth C. Reader, all of Virginia Beach; and four great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday in London Bridge Baptist Church by the Rev. Tommy Taylor. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Laskin Road Chapel, today from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to London Bridge Baptist Church or to Hope Haven Children's Home.
