Julius Tate ``J.T.'' Long, 68, of 1856 George Long Road, a former resident of Virginia Beach, died Saturday at his home.
Mr. Long was a retired employee of J.E. Weddle and Associates, Inc. of Norfolk. He was a veteran of the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife, Sheila B. Long; his mother, Ruth Long of Harrells; three sisters, Mildred Bradshaw of Rose Hill, Doris Gallagher of Clinton and Blondell Johnson of Harrells; a stepdaughter, Monica MacDonald of Virginia Beach; a stepson, George MacDonald of Virginia Beach; and three stepgrandchildren.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Riverside Baptist Church by the Rev. Currie Long and Kincy Barron. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Carter Funeral Home, Garland. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Riverside Baptist Church Building Fund, 4131 Highway 210 East, Harrells, N.C. 28444.
