Walton Edward Baynor, 83, of the first block of Chestnut St. and a former longtime resident of Norfolk and Virginia Beach, died Nov. 26, 1995, in Albemarle Hospital, Elizabeth City, N.C.
Mr. Baynor was born in Leechville, N.C., and was a retired restaurant owner. He was a member of Snug Harbor Community Church and was a Protestant. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and was in the Navy Reserve for 11 years. He was former owner of Little Pigs Restaurant, Chick's Beach and Bay Cove Restaurant, all in Virginia Beach. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Cynthia Davenport Baynor.
Survivors include many nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. in Kellum Funeral Home Pleasant Hall, Kempsville Chapel by Stanley Nixon, Pastor of Snug Harbor Community Church. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the funeral home two hours prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to Snug Harbor Community Church.
