Carrie Louise Ward King, 80, of the 900 block of Wingina St., Manteo, died Saturday, Nov. 25, 1995, in a Chesapeake hospital.
Mrs. King was a homemaker and a lifelong active member of Manteo Baptist Church, where she served as a former Sunday school teacher. She was the daughter of the late Ortho Cartwright and Lovie Lester Ward and was preceded in death by her husband Roy L. King.
Surviving are two daughters, Lydia Love King Tillett and Linda Louise King Putnam and a brother, Charlie L. Ward, all of Manteo; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be today at 2 p.m. in the Manteo Baptist Church by the Rev. Bruce Warrenton with burial following in the Manteo Cemetery. Friends may join the family at the residence on Wingina Street. Twiford Colony Chapel Manteo is handling arrangements.
