Izora B. Marsh, 95, of the 1300 block of King Arthur Drive, died Nov. 24, 1995, in Portsmouth General Hospital.
She was born in North Carolina. She was a member of Twine Memorial Holy Temple Church in Portsmouth, Gospel Choir and president of the Lilly of the Valley Prayer Band.
Survivors include two daughters, Rosetta B. Madison of Chesapeake and Mary Jackson of Portsmouth; a sister, Sadie Garden of Philadelphia; eight grandchildren, James Harrell, Carolyn Robinson, Rosemary Stokes, Brenda Fleetwood, Milton Jackson, Lloyd Jackson, Harrison Johnson and Phyllis Brown; a host of great and great-great-grandchildren; son-in-law, John D. Madison Sr.; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in Twine Memorial Holy Temple Church, Portsmouth, by Elder Vernon Lee Dudley. Burial will be in Lincoln Memorial Cemetery. Viewing will begin at noon Tuesday in Corprew Funeral Home. The body will be taken to the church at noon Wednesday.
