Estelle Elliott Parker of the 1200 block of Highland Ave., a retired nurse, died Nov. 24, 1995, in Portsmouth General Hospital.
Mrs. Parker was born in Princess Anne County ad was the widow of James S. Parker Jr. She was retired from Maryview Hospital after 28 years. She was a member of Third Baptist Church in Portsmouth, Usher Board (NU)2, The Mount Hermon Club, the Widows Club and Sunday School Class (NU)3. She was a member of the Portsmouth Chapter NAACP.
Survivors include four daughters, Burlene Branch, Sharon D. Brown, both of Portsmouth, Linda Wright Moore of Norfolk and Jean E. Davis of Landover, Md.; two sons, Robert H. Elliott Jr. and James Lee Elliott, both of Portsmouth; five sisters, Nicola Elliott, Rebecca Alexander, Eula Moore, Marie Lamb, all of Portsmouth and Thelma Earl of Suffolk; three brothers, Leroy Williams, Charlie Williams and Lloyd Williams, all of Portsmouth; 21 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Third Baptist Church, Portsmouth, by the Rev. Joe B. Fleming. Burial will be in Lincoln Memorial Cemetery. Viewing will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Corprew Funeral Home. The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. The body will be taken to the church at 10 a.m. Wednesday.
