Nathan A. Brooks III, 22, of the 4000 block of Seacliff Road, died Nov. 25, 1995, in Dinwiddie County, Va.
Mr. Brooks was born in Portsmouth. He was a student at Liberty University and was a manager at McDonalds on Ward Road in Lynchburg. He was a member of Calvary Evangelical Baptist Church in Portsmouth, Sunday school teacher, Youth leader, member of the Junior Choir, and member of many other church organizations and activities.
Survivors include his mother, Ella W. Brooks, father, Nathan A. Brooks Jr. and sister, Angela M. Brooks, all of Chesapeake; maternal grandparents, Richard and Bessie Whitehead of Portsmouth; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Calvary Evangelical Baptist Church, Portsmouth, by Pastor Allen R. McFarland. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Viewing will begin at noon Tuesday in Corprew Funeral Home. The body will be taken to the church at 11 a.m. Wednesday.
