Ruth Lassiter Butcher, 90, of the 100 block of West Elm St., died Nov. 26, 1995, in Pitt County Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Butcher, the widow of H.S. Butcher, was a retired registered nurse. She was a member of Aulander Baptist Church and a native of Bertie County, N.C.
Survivors include two nieces, Beth Bowman of Aulander, Louise Hoggard of Lewiston Woodville, N.C.; one great-nephew, Lee L. Bowman of Aulander; one great-niece, Donna Eways of Rocky Mount, N.C.; one great-great-nephew, Kamal Eways of Rocky Mount. She was preceded in death by a brother, Lee O. ``Red'' Lassiter.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in Minton Family Cemetery by the Rev. J.N. Baggett. The family will receive friends at Garrett Funeral Home, Ahoskie, N.C., from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday.
