Denise Lynn Brown-Aronoff, 40, of the 400 block of Bethune Drive, died Nov. 25, 1995, in a Virginia Beach hospital.
She was born in Miami, Fla., and was a retired registered nurse. She was a member of Phillippi Church of Christ in Norfolk. She was a member of Children's Rights Council and was a Virginia state representative for the National Handicapped Association. She was predeceased by her father, Marcus C. Brown.
Survivors include her mother, Lena Grace Brown of Virginia Beach; her sister and brother-in-law, Carol A. and Randell L. Keyte of Virginia Beach; two nephews, Christopher S. Merrick and John B. Merrick III, both of Virginia Beach; and two great-nieces, Cynthia Grace Merrick and Julie S. Page, both of Virginia Beach. She is also survived by her church family at Phillippi Church of Christ.
The funeral will be conducted Thursday at 7 p.m. by Elder Cleavon Bryant and Elder David Causey in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Lynnhaven Chapel. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Pastor's Aide of Phillippi Church of Christ, 211 Hardy Ave., Norfolk 23523.
