RAFAEL A. HENRIQUEZ

Rafael A. ``Ralph'' Henriquez, 48, died Sunday, Nov. 26, 1995.

A native of New York City, N.Y., he had been a Peninsula resident since 1978. Mr. Henriquez was employed by Vulcan Security Inc. as a security consultant for many years. He was a member of St. Jerome Catholic Church. He was an Air Force veteran, where he reached the rank of staff sergeant. He served in the Vietnam War. He was vice president of the Band Booster's Club of Denbigh High School.

Survivors include his wife, Elsy Y. Henriquez; three daughters, Margory A., Mayl C. and Elsy J. Henriquez, all resided at home; three sons, Rafael A. Henriquez Jr., resided at home, Andrew Sapienza and Gregory Sapienza, both of St. Petersburg; his mother, Yvette J. Heezen; his sister, Leonor H. Guy; his brother, Roberto A. Henriquez, all of Newport News; and one grandchild. Rafael was preceded in death by his father, Rafael I. Henriquez in 1979.

The funeral will be held 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in St. Jerome Catholic Church by Father James C. Ditty. The family will receive friends Wednesday at the church from 6:30 p.m. until the start of the service. Burial will be 2:30 p.m. Thursday in Hampton National Cemetery with military honors. Peninsula Funeral Home is in charge.
