THOMAS W. BROWN

Thomas Wesley Brown, 74, of the 1600 block of N.C. Highway 42, died Nov. 27, 1995, in Pitt County Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Brown, the widower of Ruby Ward Brown, was a retired route salesman and service station operator for Maola Milk and Esso Oil. He was a native of Bertie County, N.C., and a member of Colerain Baptist Church. He was an Army and Air Force veteran of World War II.

Survivors include a daughter, Martha B. Askew of Ahoskie; two sons, Ronnie W. Brown of Savannah, Ga., Wesley E. Brown of Atlantic Beach, N.C.; two sisters, Lewellyn Bowden of Norfolk, Mildred Evans of Columbia, S.C.; two brothers, Tildon E. Brown of Colerain, Alpheus L. Brown of Suffolk; and six grandchildren.

The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Wednesday in Garrett Funeral Home, Ahoskie, by the Rev. Shelby Stephens. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Askew. Memorial donations may be made to the Colerain Rescue Squad.
